The third Ted Hughes Poetry Festival takes place over the weekend of 23-25 June 2017 with a varied and exciting programme of events in and around Mexborough, including readings and performances from award-winning poets Simon Armitage, Vahni Capildeo and Linton Kwesi Johnson. Friday 23 June
6.30pm – 9.30pm: Opening Night with Simon Armitage, Vahni Capildeo, Mike O’Brien

Saturday 24 June
10am – 12 noon: Sylvia Plath Workshop with Andy Armitage
1pm – 4pm: An Afternoon with Sylvia Plath, featuring Heather Clark, Melissa Lee-Houghton, Kim Moore, Charlotte Wetton
6.30pm – 9.30pm: Linton Kwesi Johnson, Tim Wells, Janine Booth, Peg Powler

Sunday 25 June
11am – 1.30pm: The Ted Hughes Paper Round

Saturday 1 July
11am – 1.30pm: Adwick Washlands: a walk with Brian Lewis and Matthew Clegg
