The launch of Steve Ely’s new collection, with special guests Chris Jones and Ann Walton. Incendium Amoris, Steve Ely’s remarkable fourth book of poetry, arises from the writings, life and landscape of Richard Rolle, the ‘Hermit of Hampole’. The venue for the launch is St Laurence’s Church, Adwick-le-Street, which would have been Richard’s parish church.

Steve has published three previous collections of poetry – Oswald’s Book of Hours (2013), Englaland (2015) and Werewolf (2016).  He’s also published a novel, Ratmen (2012). He is Chair of the Ted Hughes Project (South Yorkshire) and lectures in Creative Writing at the University of Huddersfield, where he is also Director of the Ted Hughes Network.
